Resident Evil DS
Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed that the Resident Evil series will soon be making its firs appearance on the Nintendo DS. Though there are few details at the moment the DS release seems to be a remake of the original Playstation game.
Players will be able to take on the role of the characters Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield in what appears to be the original Resident Evil mansion. Game play looks familiar, with the game centred around solving puzzles and killing zombies.
As well as rendering your surroundings in 3D the DS version makes use of the touch screen. From the information given so far, the touch screen can be used to control your survival knife and solve many of the games puzzles. A particularly gory feature of the game is the need to use the touch screen to wipe away blood from the screen after shooting zombies!
